Is this the real McKinsey Solve Game?add
No — it is a simulation we built from candidate debriefs. Hundreds of candidates have documented their experience with the Solve Game across multiple recruiting cycles. We used those accounts to reconstruct the format, question types, time limits, and interface as accurately as possible. You get the closest possible preparation without anyone violating their NDA.
Which tasks are included?add
All three official tasks: Redrock Study (10 data analysis scenarios — Ecotopia, Costa Thales, Kokona Falli, Bali Village, Isla Azul, Zahari Plains, Selva Nova, Cedarburn Ridge, Purple Line, Nolotiles), Sea Wolf (1 scenario — Ocean Cleanup), and Sustainable Futures Lab (10 environmental scenarios — Urban Air Quality Improvement, Wetland Restoration, Forest Biodiversity Restoration, and 7 more). VIP customers also get the legacy Ecosystem Creation simulation (Coral Reef + Mountain Ridge), retired from the official assessment in July 2025 but useful for additional practice.
Is it timed like the real test?add
Yes. Each simulation runs on the same time limits documented from candidate debriefs — 35 minutes for Redrock Study, approximately 25 minutes for Sea Wolf and Sustainable Futures Lab. Redrock Study follows a 3-phase flow: Study phase (investigation, objective, study info, exhibits), Analysis phase (4 quantitative questions with review), and Report phase (written report + graph selection for your visual report). There is no pause option during a session.
What changed in 2025?add
McKinsey replaced Ecosystem Creation with Sustainable Futures Lab as the third official task. The new task features 10 environmental scenarios — urban air quality, wetland restoration, forest biodiversity, coastal mangrove restoration, and more — instead of the food chain building mechanics of its predecessor. Redrock Study now includes 10 scenarios with updated themes. Sea Wolf remains the ecosystem optimization task with its Ocean Cleanup scenario and drag-and-drop mechanics. Our simulations reflect all these changes.
What is the refund policy?add
VIP lifetime: 7-day money-back guarantee, full refund with no questions asked — even if you have completed every scenario. Basic 1-year: no refunds. At $99, it is less than half a typical coaching hour, and you keep access for a full year.
How is this different from PrepMatter or other Solve Game resources?add
Most resources give you walkthroughs, tips, or static practice problems. We built interactive simulations that recreate the actual test interface — multi-exhibit navigation, a built-in calculator, and a Research Journal with drag-to-save for capturing key data points. You complete the full flow: study phase, analysis phase (4 quantitative questions), and report phase (written report + graph selection). Our AI-powered performance review tells you exactly where you lost points and why. 21 scenarios across all tasks, unlimited retakes, no scheduling, fraction of the cost of a coach.
